For those who still Smell of Crap

As you most likely know, Slackers is not a hardcore raiding guild. If anything, we are hardcore slackers. We do raid and when we do, we do it seriously. We try to encourage everyone to always think of the bigger picture rathern than selfishly concentrating on their own progress. We want everyone to progress and succeed, since that also means that the guild will progress. We also don't punish people for not raiding if that's not what they want to do - either all or just some of the time. As a slacker you are free to choose to raid or not, and even if you are not a raider at heart you can still participate when you feel like it and when there is room in the raid. In any case, please read raiding with slackers before the end of your trial (i.e. crap smelling) period.

Another thing that is important to us is treating people equally and not making fun of them for not being familiar with a certain aspect of the game. There are no stupid questions, and we think it's better to ask if in doubt rather than failing without asking for help :D If you feel shy asking things in guildchat, you can whisper one of the Uber (officer) or Senior (officer assistant) Slackers.

Your smelly period lasts 3-4 weeks. If you wish to stay in the guild, you are expected to have registered for our forums and read our raiding rules, guild policies and generally familiarised yourself with the forum content before your smelly trial is over. In order to become a member you obviously need to accept all of the rules and principles of the guild. A description of those is in the Being a Slacker page.

At the end of your trial period, an officer (usually GM Aikon & 1 or more other officers) will have a chat with you about how you feel about the guild and how we feel you fit in, what you expect from us and what we expect from you. During your trial period, try to do as much as possible with us (be it 5 man instances, raids, PVP or just generally fooling around) so that we get to know each other as well as possible. Below are the types of things we would want to hear your opinions about at the end of your trial period:

How do you like the guild so far?
Do you think we will be the right guild for you? Why?
Do you wish to raid with us? If so, have you read our raiding ”rules” and do you agree with our approach?
What do you expect from Slackers?

The purpose of this chat is simply to see if we are right for each other. You do not need to ”prove” anything.
